On Jan. 15, we asked our readers… What Scripture or devotional would you suggest for a Prayer Caucus meeting?

Here are some of their comments:

Joshua 1:8-9 Keep God’s word and meditate on it. In doing so, (v9) God promised to be with us wherever we go. Couple that passage with Joshua 5:14 — Only when Joshua fell in reverence did he receive instructions for the next steps of the campaign. Pray and work to bring reverence of God back into government as the founders meant us to do

First realize that you are children of the King, & must behave as such. Eph. 6:2-3 – Honor our parents..5-7 work as unto the Lord–9-18.  Be strong, put on the armor of God.Ps25:4-5 Make your ways known to me..Ps 32:8 Lord says I will teach you. Ps 119:105 Your word is a light..

Prov 3:5-6 Trust the Lord-do not rely your own understanding.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you came to birth I consecrated you; I have appointed you as prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:5

Phil 4:8:  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.

II Timothy 2:9.

Deuteronomy chapter 28 which outlines the blessings God bestows on a nation that follows Him and details the curses that fall on a nation that rejects Him. We can see the blessings of our past in our providential history and the curses of our present in the evening news. Which will we the people choose for our future?
