Make a difference in Augusta: Encourage-a-Legislator

If you are willing to pray daily for a Maine legislator from January until June, please join the Encourage-a-Legislator program run by the Concerned Women for America.  In addition to prayers, you will be asked to send a post card every month to your legislator.

To sign up, please contact Jan Pinkham, Encourage-A-Legislature Coordinator, at 345-1200.  She will assign legislators as soon as all the bios become available from the legislative website.

Last session, every legislator and the governor were covered by prayer.  These prayers and post cards are appreciated.  For example, here is a letter received after the last session:  “The fact that you spent time every month keeping me in your prayers is particularly meaningful to me as a Christian man. As I go about my duties in Augusta, I am very mindful of God’s central part of our lives. Hopefully I have voted in a manner pleasing to Him.”
