Call Maine Senators again today to vote “No” to the U.N. CRPD

The Christian Civic League urges you to contact Senator Collins and Senator Snowe AGAIN and tell them to vote “No” to the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).

ParentsRights.org, July 31, 2012

As we alerted you on Friday, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) was voted out of committee last week (13-6), and is just one Senate floor vote away from ratification. What’s more, with Democrats pushing this treaty and Democrats in control of the Senate, that vote could come at any time. That’s the bad news.

But there is hope. We have seen one version of this week’s Senate schedule, and CRPD is not likely to be added to it. If this holds true, we will have an
additional month to persuade Senators to vote against this dangerous treaty. Either way, though, they need to hear from you this week.

ParentalRights.org President Michael Farris sent out a message yesterday to supporters of Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), of which he is
chairman. His warning about the CRPD and his urge to call your Senators can be found here. Please take a moment to call your senators again and urge them to oppose this treaty.
