A Call to Prayer at Portland's King Middle School

Rev. Rick Kimball
As a child, I attended [Portland's] King Elementary School.  It is very disturbing what the school is allowed to happen over the years.  My wife Carole and I take this very seriously, what the school has allowed to happen with children.

We have been down to the school five times [since the decision].  Praying is so important in our lives, and in the way God wants us to be.  A group of us went down to the school  recently, with our Bibles, laid hands on the school, and walked around the school for quite some time praying.

I have contacted several people in the Portland area to join with us in combating the evil things that go on in that city.  The best thing we can always do is call upon God, gather together in prayer with Bibles in hand, and combat the enemy head-on.

The Portland School Committee's decision should be bringing thousands of people to that school, not only a handful.  It is an atrocity to people and God.

As one of the leaders of Men on Fire, I feel it's very important to support the Christian Civic League of Maine, as long as we are in the will of God.  I would like to thank you all very much at the League.
