The
recent [Kennebec Journal] letter in which
Lara Dionne attacks Mike Heath and defends the Democratic Party’s selection of pagan Rita Moran to chair their efforts in Kennebec County demands a response.
Pagans attacking Christians is nothing new, but there seems to be a recent upsurge in the Hallowell area. Late last week a Hallowell pagan (also named Lara, no last name given) wrote a threatening email to the Christian Civic League in which she prayed for harm on Mike Heath at the hands of her “goddess” Sekhmet. (Sekhmet is a pagan goddess of war and destruction. Sekhmet is said to be the most vicious of the Egyptian goddesses. Her titles include 'Lady of Slaughter.')
That pagans are invoking the name of Sekhmet and rushing to defend
the Democratic Party of fellow pagan (and Party Chair) Rita Moran is no surprise. The Maine Democratic Party’s platform supports abortion on demand, which would certainly please their Lady of Slaughter goddess.
What is surprising is that any Christian would choose to support the Kennebec County Democrats under the leadership of the openly pagan Rita Moran.
