Mike Heath with Ballot
Th e Christian Civic League of Maine is encouraging Christians across Maine to vote on November 6. The League's PAC, Gambling With the Way Life Should Be has placed its emphasis on Question 1, which asks "Do you want to allow a Maine tribe to run a harness racing track with slot machines and high-stakes beano games in Washington County ?"

Executive Director Michael Heath placed his NO vote by absentee ballot and said, "Mainers don't need the further temptation of another casino."
Voting No on Question 1

Heath then added, "Voting is so important. It is the Christian's way to practice good stewardship, and to show love for our neighbors. Voting enables to us to project our Christian moral views beyond our home and church into the broader culture."

Heath then added there was no reason for people not to vote saying, "Citizens who cannot make it to the polls for one reason or another tomorrow can certainly do what Paulie and I did a few weeks ago, they can vote absentee."
