The League created an official Facebook Group on Sunday, January 13, 2008.  Facebook is an online social networking website.  Individuals must become a member of Facebook to join the Christian Civic League of Maine Group.

Facebook has millions of users worldwide.  It follows on the success of another social networking site used mostly by teens called Myspace.  Facebook is attracting more adults to its pages.

Technology experts predict that 2008 will be the year of social networking.

"I'm excited about this development,"  said League director Mike Heath.  "It is really important for Christian adults to be online.  God knows their kids are out there connecting up.  Some of the connections aren't helpful.  And some are downright dangerous.  Our kids and grandkids need to know that we are watching out for them."

Join Facebook and look for the Christian Civic League of Maine's group.  Anyone can join.
