THE
GATE OF HEAVEN
"When Jacob awoke from sleep, he
thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not
aware of it." He was afraid and said, 'How awesome is this
place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the
gate of heaven.' Early next morning Jacob took the stone he
had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and
poured oil on top of it. He called that place Bethel..."?
(Genesis 28:16,17)

TRUTH IN LOVE
The Christian Education League is
joining with Free Indeed Ministries to present an exciting
and informative seminar which will share the Christian
perspective on the problems of homosexuality. The seminar
will address such questions as the origins of homosexuality,
how to speak to someone who subscribes to pro-gay theology,
and how best to witness to someone who is involved in
homosexuality.
Part of the seminar will be taken
up with dispelling many of the myths and misinformation
about homosexuality that is prevalent in our society.
The seminar is especially useful
for teens and is recommended for anyone whose life is
affected by homosexuality. The seminar will be held at Faith
Evangelical Church in Waterville this Saturday, October 8.
To register, please call 1-800-763-2115. The cost of
registration is $10.
GAY
RIGHTS FANATICS USE SEXUAL ORIENTATION LAW TO SHOOT DOWN
PARENTAL RIGHTS
Anyone who still thinks that the
elite backers of the gay rights movement care at all about
the wishes of the average citizen had better think again.
The Article 8 Alliance, a pro-family organization in
Massachusetts, has revealed the fact that the superintendent
of the Lexington Massachusetts school system has told
parents that he has no intention of obeying a
recently-passed Parental Notification Law when it comes to
lesson materials which teach that same-sex marriages are
normal.
In a letter published in the
Lexington Minuteman on September 22nd, Superintendent of
Schools Paul Ash said that teachers and school
administrators are under no obligation to notify parents
under the law since the teaching of tolerance for
homosexuals does not involve a discussion of the mechanics
of gay sex. In defending this particularly twisted line of
reasoning, Superintendent Ash stated that he relied on
existing SEXUAL ORIENTATION LAWS of the kind recently passed
in Maine, and the opinion of the Massachusetts Department of
Education, to conclude that materials presented in the
schools pertaining to homosexuality INCLUDING SAME-SEX
MARRIAGE are presented in order to promote tolerance and
diversity, and not to explain the mechanics of sex - and
therefore do not fall under the Parental Notification Law.
In other words, gays and their elite backers in
Massachusetts have decided that they alone will tell the
school children of that state what a family is - and parents
will have no say in the matter.

USM STUDENTS ON BOTH SIDES
OF THE GAY RIGHTS DEBATE GIVE MIKE HEATH A RESPECTFUL
HEARING WHILE MEDIA CONTINUES THE VAPORING
Mike Heath spoke last night to a
overflow crowd at the University of Southern Maine at an
event sponsored by the USM chapter of the College
Republicans. Protestors had gathered outside, but inside,
the atmosphere was quiet as both sides listened intently to
the speech entitled
"The Vision Place of Souls."
After the speech, Paul Madore of the Maine Grassroots
Coalition joined Mike Heath for a question and answer
session about the upcoming vote on the Governor's sexual
orientation law.
The event turned out to be standing
room only, with many students listening from the back of the
room. One observer was heard to say that Mike Heath's
message is finally getting out, and he is even making
inroads into the opposition.

Pirate ships in the age of sail
would soften their prey by vaporing as they approached.?
Pirates always attacked smaller and weaker vessels.? They
always ran from fair fights.? Vaporing involved rhythymic
thumping of the feet and hands, chanting, shouting and
beating of swords.? It always immediately proceeded the
violent boarding of a victim's vessel, rape and killing?of
the women and the brutal slaughter of all the men and
children.? Paul Carrier of the Portland Press Herald was
leading the vaporing of Main Stream Media against the
League?on Question 1 yesterday.? (Note to Maine Won't
Discriminate:? This is all metaphorical you understand.)
He is writing a "news story" about
Michael Heath's "tone and style."? The League's press
advisor told Carrier in the afternoon that Heath would not
be commenting on that story.? Carrier approached Heath five
minutes before he was scheduled to deliver the speech, and
then proceeded to ask questions purposely and unethically
ignoring Russell's earlier decision.? Carrier started his
move by asking Heath if he could talk with him.? Heath said
he would have to speak with his media liaison.? Heath, not
wanting to be mean, continued the conversation as Carrier
drew out his pad of paper and pencil.
Russell stepped in and firmly
reminded Carrier of the afternoon conversation and gave him
a short statement.? Russell said this campaign isn't about
Heath's tone and style.? Russell reminded him that there are
important issues at stake here and that the League and Mr.
Heath are talking about those.? Carrier smugly replied, "So
he isn't going to comment?"? Russell snapped back in true
Navy (Russell is retired Navy)?fashion and with an
appropriate level of verve "Did you see his lips move?"?
Carrier then turned to Heath and glared at him asking,
"You're not going to comment?"? Heath replied, "Nope."
And he finally?went to his seat.?
You probably won't read about that encounter in the upcoming
Portland Press Herald story regarding Mike Heath's "tone and
style."
Please remember to pray for the
League team as they manage the people and institutions who
are pursuing agendas other than those assigned to them by
the people.? News journalists are supposed to tell the story
and pass along the facts.? Carrier works for the Portland
Press Herald which is headed by an activist lesbian.? The
newspaper has demonstrated over a period of many years a
vicious and unethical bias on this issue. They are obviously
eager to make the public think that the church is divided
because it helps their cause. All Christians everywhere know
that sex outside of marriage is wrong.?
The RECORD wonders when the
Portland Press Herald is going to do a story on the tone and
style of Ted O'Meara, the Catholic Bishop of Portland, Ethan
Strimling, Betsy Smith and Jesse Connolly.?? Connolly is
using the tactic of ad hominem attack against Mike Heath and
Pastor Sandy Williams to raise money for the homosexual
cause.? Does their "tone and style" mean anything.??We can
only conclude that the values of fairness and truth?don't
mean anything more to the Portland Press Herald than they
meant to Pirates.
Maine Won't Discriminate supporters
did a bit of their own vaporing as Mike Heath and Tim
Russell exited the building.? About fifty placard waving
rowdy students shouted at Heath about discrimination as he
left.? Armed security guards, forced upon the College
Republicans by the University system and paid for by an
anonymous donor,?kept a watchful eye throughout the evening.
The College Republicans, and Jason
Lavoie in particular, deserve our praise for putting on a
very fine event which gave students on both sides of the
issue a new perspective on the upcoming vote.? by Fritz
Spencer with help from Mike Heath and Tim Russell
