"Fearful
lest it be relegated to the position of an isolated sect, Christianity
seems to be making frenzied efforts at mimicry in order to escape being
devoured by its enemies--a reaction that seems defensive, but is in fact
self-destructive. In the hope of saving itself, it seems to be assuming
the colors of its environment, but the result is that it loses its
identity. . . ."

Gay Activists Threaten Pro-family Crusader

Conference to Emphasize Compassionate

The RECORD revealed yesterday that James Hartline,
the pro-family crusader from San Diego who is
helping turn the tide against homosexual activism,
has received numerous death threats from the 'gay'
community. The same story also appeared yesterday
on World Net Daily. Since the story appeared,
Hartline has revealed that an anti-scouting gay
activist is the latest to call for his death. In a
letter published on a pro-gay website, Mike
Hampson, a member of “Scouting for All,” wrote
“It’s time to take care of the source of our
problem, James Hartline.”
Although the letter went on to say that the
problem of Hartline was to be dealt with by legal
means, the implication and tone of the threat were
frightening enough for Hartline to urge his
readers to contact the FBI, the San Diego City
Attorney, and other local law enforcement
officials. The gay community in San Diego is
enraged over Hartline’s revelation that five
convicted pedophiles were among those hired by San
Diego’s Gay Pride Board to organize the city’s
“gay pride” events this year.

THE MAINE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION
The Maine Education Association can only be
understood by examining the ideology of its parent
organization, the National Education Association,
which through its membership in Education
International (EI) is part of the largest trade
union in the world. Education International was
formed by combining 345 trade unions from 165
countries. The membership of Education
International is made up of almost thirty million
teachers from 166 countries. The ideology of
Education International is decidedly left-wing,
calling for an end to among other things,
nationalism, homophobia, sexism, heterosexism, and
most tellingly of all "classism," a new word for
the old idea of class struggle. It is interesting
that the National Education Association is now
distributing posters throughout the public schools
in the U.S. which denounce the problem of “Classism.”
The National Education Association is also
pro-abortion, as revealed in this letter from the
NEA to members of the U.S. Senate in 1985:
“The NEA believes that reproductive freedom is one
of the most fundamental human and civil rights.
The decision about abortions is an economic one
for millions of American working women and their
families. Whether or not a woman chooses to have a
child is a matter for her to decide, based on
input from her family, her doctor and her pastor,
not the government.”
Anyone who doubts that the Governor’s relentless
push for gay rights is motivated by elite special
interests from outside our state should visit the
website of Education International, which we have
linked to below. There they will see
representatives from around the world holding up a
rainbow flag, the symbol of the homosexual rights
movement, and denouncing “homophobia.”
Particularly interesting is a letter published on
the Education International website which reveals
that Education International intended to boycott
one city which refused to host a gay pride parade.
Perhaps that is the real reason why Governor
Baldacci and the Legislature are backing gay
rights for a third time, against the will of the
people of Maine – they answer to powerful elite
organizations like the NEA and Education
International, not the people of Maine.
On the local level, the Maine Education
Association mirrors the ideology of its parent
organizations, and promotes exactly the same
left-wing agenda. The website of the Maine
Education Association proudly boasts that it was
the driving force behind the defeat of the Carol
Palesky Tax Cap Bill. The Maine Education
Association also encourages its members to oppose
President Bush's plan to privatize part of social
security.
Worst of all perhaps, is that the Maine Education
Association promotes a hidden agenda among young
people who have no understanding of the sinister
goals of the leaders of the parent organizations,
and no power to resist their efforts at
indoctrination.
