“You have wearied the LORD with
your words. “How have we wearied
him?” you ask. By saying, “All
who do evil are good in the eyes
of the LORD, and He is pleased
with them.”

QUOTATIONS OF THE DAY
“For all the gold and silver
stolen and shipped to Spain did
not make the Spanish people
richer. It gave their kings an
edge in the balance of power for
a time, a chance to hire more
mercenary soldiers for their
wars. They ended up losing those
wars anyway, and all that was
left was a deadly inflation, a
starving population, the rich
richer, the poor poorer, and a
ruined peasant class.”
(Hans Konig)
“Some vitamin pills have all the
elements and trace minerals
needed for the body - iron,
copper, manganese, cobalt,
selenium. But there are two
which are never listed, since
they are never found within the
human body naturally… and they
are gold and silver.”
(Jim W. Carroll)
"The golden moments in the
stream of life rush past us and
we see nothing but sand; the
angels come to visit us, and we
only know them when they are
gone.”
(George Eliot) |

No group in Maine is more
important to the gay rights
movement than the leaders of
Maine’s liberal churches. They
are indispensable in giving
credibility and legitimacy to a
movement that society once
universally opposed.
Not content with the work of
legitimizing and normalizing
homosexual practices, the
leaders of these liberal
churches are eager to slander
the opponents of the gay rights
movement as “intolerant” and
“divisive.” Their most stinging
rebuke however, is when they
claim that the defenders of the
family and the traditional
definition of marriage are
somehow un-Christian. But how
Christian are the church leaders
who support gay rights?
The RECORD has reported on the
scandals which occurred in one
church under the control of the
Episcopal Church’s first
homosexual bishop, the Reverend
Vicki Gene Robinson. The crimes
committed at that church
included larceny, embezzlement,
and child molestation. The
RECORD also reported on the
views of Bishop John Shelby
Spong, who has renounced
virtually all the tenets of the
Christian religion. Spong, our
readers will remember, was the
first person in the U.S. to
ordain an openly homosexual
individual.
But now The RECORD has uncovered
something which is more than a
mere break with Christianity.
Equality Maine, the most
powerful pro-homosexual group in
Maine, is promoting as part of
its “Faith Outreach” a bumper
sticker which proclaims “My
Church Believes in Civil Rights
For All.” The bumper sticker was
produced by a member of the
Allen Avenue Unitarian
Universalist Church in Portland.
But no mention is made of the
fact that this same “church,”
will soon be the site of the
MAINE PAGAN PRIDE DAY 2005. In
the words of the sponsors of
this event, the public is
invited to participate in PUBLIC
PAGAN RITUALS, presumably within
the “church.” The notice for the
Maine Pagan Pride Day is posted
on the website of the nation’s
largest pagan network, which is
replete with the imagery and
symbolism of the occult and
Satanism.
The Unitarian Universalist
church is intimately associated
with the rising tide of
witchcraft and paganism in the
United States. A group exists
within the Unitarian
Universalist Church, The
Covenant of Unitarian
Universalist Pagans (CUUPS),
which is dedicated to the spread
of paganism. CUUPS was
authorized by the General
Assembly of the Unitarian
Universalist Association in
1987. In 1993, CUUPS succeeded
in including“earth-centered” and
“goddess imagery” in the
Unitarian Universalist hymnal.
In past years, the Allen Avenue
Church has provided the largest
contingent to the Portland Gay
Pride Parade. |
