"Fearful
lest it be relegated to the position of an isolated sect, Christianity
seems to be making frenzied efforts at mimicry in order to escape being
devoured by its enemies--a reaction that seems defensive, but is in fact
self-destructive. In the hope of saving itself, it seems to be assuming
the colors of its environment, but the result is that it loses its
identity. . . ."

A self-evident proposition –
“The Powers that be are ordained
of God.” Civil government is a
divine institution and serves a
divine purpose, the punishment
of evil doers and the praise of
them that do well. “Morality,
religion, and education are the
main pillars of the state, to
maintain which, civil government
is instituted among men.” The
Supreme Court of the United
States has declared (Stone vs.
Mississippi, 101 U.S. 814) “No
legislature can barter away
public health or public morals.
The people cannot do it, much
less their servants.” This is
organic law; it is sound
jurisprudence; it is fundamental
and constitutional. It indicates
the supremacy of moral law, of
the immutable law of right –
right and law – inwrought and
contained in the very nature of
things, and makes it imperative
upon, people, legislatures, and
courts to maintain and fortify
public liberty. THE STATE CANNOT
SELL PRIVILEGES THAT PRODUCE
CRIME AND CRIMINALS. Hear the
verdict of the highest legal
tribunal in the land.
“Citizenship in a state confers
no right upon anyone to do that
which is destructive of
fundamental principles of
government.” (Cronin vs. Adams
192 U.S. 108).

The RECORD, December 1907)

As everyone knows, ideas have
consequences in the real world.
The Book of Proverbs states, “As
a man thinketh, so is he.” The
same may be said of individuals,
of cities, and of nations. What
is the outcome in practical
terms of the State Legislature’s
and the Governor’s Office's
indifference to questions of
sexual morality, and the
groundless belief that “You
can’t legislate morality?”
The astounding fact is that
Augusta - which is situated in a
state known for its low crime
rate - has a crime rate which is
higher than the national
average. The most recent
statistics available, show that
Augusta has a rate of forcible
rape which is almost five times
higher than the national
average, and two times higher
than that of Boston. The rate of
larceny is twice the national
average, and significantly
higher than that of Boston. The
overall rate of crime is higher
than the national average.*
Augusta is also home to the only
abortion mill in the area.
The only conclusion to be drawn
from this, is that a government
which excludes considerations of
morality and religion, opens the
door to crime, and the first
place it makes its presence
known is at their very doorstep.

In a society where corruption
and crime gain the upper hand,
it is the good who suffer. So it
was that John the Baptist, whom
Jesus called the greatest man
who ever lived, was beheaded for
daring to challenge the ruler of
the day, King Herod, on a point
of sexual morality.
David Parker, a concerned parent
from Lexington, Massachusetts,
also challenged a corrupt
government on a point of sexual
morality, and he was immediately
hauled into court, and thrown
into jail. His ‘crime’ was to
challenge a government which
operates along the lines of what
many have called the “Ideology
of Evil” - abortion, euthanasia,
and same-sex marriage. Parker
will stand trial on September
21st.
Of equal interest is what
happened outside the courthouse
yesterday, as concerned
citizens, eager to protect their
children and families, faced off
against gay activists and the
foes of the traditional family.
We invite our readers to visit
the website of the Article 8
Alliance, to see for themselves
what transpired outside the
courthouse yesterday.
